Bike Ride

This was one of the highlights of the trip for me. We went on a long bike ride along the water for about 2 hours. The bikes we used were the old fashioned one speed bikes with back pedal brakes and baskets on the front. They were so comfortable to ride and Ashley loved being in the trailer we rented for her. She had her sippy cup and snacks and was content looking out at the scenery. If those things didn't take up so much room and were so expensive we'd buy one in a heartbeat. Although Brian had to work a little harder towing Ashley, it was a lot of fun.

What an adventure you guys had. That had to be fun for her in that trailor. It looks like you guys were all rested up and ready to head back home.

Yeah, we had such a good time riding the first day that Gram and Gramps decided to take on the "Bayside Bike Path" around San Diego Bay, 25 miles of varied scenery including scenic coastal riding, roadside riding with the "Nice commuters" (not), and urban traversing along the downtown riverwalk. Adventures such as this remind me how old I'm getting with a sore bum afterwards. I think I'll go back to my other bike; the one with electric start and 1500 CC's. That's more my style for the long haul!

Once we got situated with bikes, trailer, making you comfortable with treats, helmet, sunscreen, etc, we were on our way on a beautiful bike ride along San Diego Bay. Like dad said, we enjoyed it so much we did an extended trip (25 mi)several days later. You were definately a little
princess in that bike trailer.
