Thanksgiving

Brian was on call for Thanksgiving, so everyone contributed in making a successful holiday dinner and it was delicious! We went around the table to tell what we were thankful for. The theme seemed to be family this year and how blessed we are to be able to come together and celebrate. Friday Steph, the kids and I took on the Fred Meyer black Friday sale for the first time. Our family was in need of socks and it sounded like a fun activity while Brian was at work and the Grandpa's were golfing. Whew, it was crowded and I could probably find the same deals somewhere else, but it was kind of a fun way to get in the mood for Christmas. You definitely have to prepare yourself for it, though. Friday night we headed over to Grammy and Grandpa's for another turkey dinner with Bonnie and Al, then Saturday and Sunday we pulled out the Christmas decorations and got the house looking all festive. We were kind of on a time crunch since we were hosting my holiday party the next weekend, so it was great to get it all done but also to enjoy it longer! We also found a little time to build our gingerbread houses. The kids were a huge help this year adding beautiful trees to the yard and lots of candy and ideas to the house.
These are the turkey hats they made in Seattle, goofy guy on the right didn't want me to see his face
Uncle Dan!
So thankful for the love and support of these guys.  We are blessed with an amazing family.
