Fun Times at the Beach House

We went out to the beach house with Grammy and Grandpa so Papa and Grandpa could finalize some plans for a deck out there. We ended up getting gorgeous weather and had an awesome weekend. Saturday morning we walked to Grateful Bread for breakfast and on our way got to stop and watch 4 small planes take off at the airport there. That was really cool to watch because we were so close. After breakfast we walked across the street to a new place that rents kayak's and paddle boards and chatted with the owner for a while. It's great to see new businesses come into Pacific City and I think this one is going to do really well since it's right on the river. For lunch we packed up and drove on the beach to the mouth of the Nestucca river, which is a really cool place Brian and I found not too long ago. Driving on the beach to get there was a first, but we deflated the tires and after a few tries to get over the dune we made it just fine. The kids loved it, especially since they didn't have to ride in car seats so we could all fit! Saturday night we had a campfire and watched the sunset and Sunday climbed the huge sand dune but the brewery!
Those are seals sunning themselves on the beach and Grammy and Isaiah are going to check it out.

Sunset and campfire, the perfect way to end the night

These handsome boys take good care of us and themselves!

Touching squishy stuff in the tide pools

Brian and Ashley climbed to the top twice, the rest of us decided to try it once

So proud of them for making it!
