City Camping

Last weekend we headed down to Dash Point State Park to camp with our friends Danielle, Hani, Joana and Steve. Dash Point is about 5 minutes from where we used to live in Federal Way, so we had to get used to the idea of city camping, but once we got there it felt like any other campground we've been to and we had a great time. It was actually really nice that we were only 20 minutes from home. After packing up on Sunday we had the rest of the day to relax. We didn't bring the pack and play but instead made a bed for her out of blankets next to our air mattress. It worked out great until she woke up at 6am, saw us next to her and wanted to play. Normally we can get her to go back to sleep until 7:30 or 8, but not this morning. We ended up going for a walk around the campground giving everyone else a little more sleep. There was a beach that we walked to on Saturday. It was a gorgeous day, so we brought blankets and hung out. Brody loved the water and normally he goes swimming but the tide was out so he had a good time running in knee deep water. It was really cute to watch him.

This is Ashley Sunday morning. It got really cold at night so we got her all bundled up in about three layers of clothes. We didn't have any mittens so we used socks on her hands. Poor girl couldn't even move! I felt sorry for her but we figured it was better than being cold and she was so tired by the time we put her down she was out in 5 minutes

Steve put us on a strict diets for Sunday morning breakfast and this is all we got (it was actually a test to see if the pancake batter was going to be good enough)

Em, you look gorgeous in these pictures. You're not suppose to look that good while camping. Looks like you has a great time and Ashley fit right in with all the adults.
