Grand Canyon

After we left GG and Gpa's on Wednesday we drove to Sedona and stayed there 3 nights. We decided to see the Grand Canyon on Thursday and just make a day trip out of it so we weren't having to pack up so much. What an amazing place, the Grand Canyon is spectacular as many of you know who have seen it. It was cold, so we were all bundled up, but the sun was warm and without the wind we could enjoy the views. We were told we got lucky with the weather because this time of year it often snows. We spent all day driving around and getting out to see the amazing views at all the look out points. We went to the visitor's center, had a little snack at the Bright Angel lodge and saw lots of deer and elk, even one that walked right in front of us! The kids were exhausted by the end of the trip and slept most of the way back (actually a lot of their sleep was in the car this trip!)
