Out of Africa Wildlife Park

This was another highlight of the trip. We decided to go on Friday since that was one of the days they feed the animals. The park was in Camp Verde about 40 min from Sedona. When we got there we jumped on a bus that took us on a Serengeti tour where we got to feed a camel and a giraffe carrots out of our hands. The driver had a bunch of treats for them. They were very friendly, graciously accepting all food given to them! On the tour we also saw zebras, water buffalo, mountain goats, an ostrich, and sable antelopes. After the tour they have a tram that takes you to the lions, tigers, bears, panthers, porcupines, a 5,000 lb rhinoceros, and even hyenas (those were a riot to watch)! After lunch we saw a Tiger Splash show which was incredible. They have a huge white Bengal Tiger that they play with like a cat in an arena! They tease her with toys on a stick and once she starts chasing after it they jump into a pool and the tiger follows. She is not a trained animal, they just get in there and play, hoping she plays nice! After the show you could pay $5 to give her two pieces of meat. One you hold up high with a pole so you see her up on her hind legs, and one down low. As all of this was wrapping up Brian decided to record the tiger and all of the sudden she lunged at him and growled, a little scary! After the tiger splash was the snake show and both kids touched a huge boa constrictor. Then at 3:00 it was time to feed the animals. All of them knew when 3:00rolled around and started pacing back and forth, growling and making all sorts of noise. Each animal got their own huge piece of meat thrown to them over the fence. The bears got fed grapes right out of the hands of the people feeding them, it was amazing to see how gentle they were. The Hyenas gave the best show, cackling and making all sorts of crazy noises until they got fed. The tigers and lions ate their meat about 10 feet in front of us! It was a really cool experience for the whole family. I would highly recommend it!

After eating all of the carrots we gave him, he goes up to the driver to get a mouth full of cookies!

There's a baby zebra in the back about 2 months old

Isaiah feeding the camel with Papa.

She didn't start out the trip this way, in fact she was in the middle of the bus when the animals came around, but by the end she got comfortable and was very interested in seeing them up close.

I couldn't believe how close she got to this snake, she was even brave enough to touch it.

We were able to stand about 10 feet from these guys when they came around
