Weekend with "Mammy and Bampa"

Ashley spent the weekend with my parents,"Mammy" and "Bampa" as she calls them, while we were in Vancouver last weekend. They got some good quality time with the munchkin and made sure every waking hour was filled with fun! It helped that this weekend was absolutely gorgeous. Saturday afternoon they went to Golden Gardens, a park near our house on the water. There's sand for her to play in and paths to walk on. They were there for about 4 hours with the dog and came home exhausted. Sunday they took a walk around Greenlake and went to the park there. Our neighbor was in a cook off at Pike's Market so they headed down there for some good BBQ. Turns out Dan won 8th overall out of about 25 groups, his pulled pork is amazing. Ashley is still catching up on her sleep. Usually she fusses for a minute when we put her to bed, but tonight she said "night, night" as I was walking out of her room and not a peep out of her. She's still in the same position she fell asleep in! Grammy and Bampa wore her out!

Two of my favorite girls!

Walking around Greenlake. Clear the way the princess is here!

Ashley enjoying a yummy BBQ sandwich. Of course she has her State Farm bib so she doesn't get her outfit all messy.

What a princess she is. It was awesome to hear her say my name when Bri called me this afternoon. I have already posted the pictures on my profile on myspace and next will be facebook tomorrow. Can't wait to see you guys. I can't believe how much she's changed since the last time I saw her in February. We love you and miss you terribly.

It's been a busy spring workwise, and taking a weekend to spend time with my grandaughter Ashley, walk along the beach, and get pulled around by a rambunctious Springer was just the kind of break that "Bampa" needed!

Ashley, as you get a little older and able to stay up a little longer, we'll have a sunset cookout down at the beach and make a camp fire in one of those firepits. We could even roast marshmallows!

Lot's of good times ahead and we look forward to them all,,,,

Love you!
