PEPS
Ashley and I joined a PEPS (Providing Early Parent Support) group about a month ago and we finally got pictures of the group minus one. There are 10 women in the group and we all live around the Greenlake/Ballard/Queen Ann area. We've been meeting every Monday from 10am to noon and it's been so fun getting to know everyone. We start off each meeting with with our highs and lows of the week and then have a topic to discuss at the end. So far we've talked about birth stories, sleep, feeding our babies, and deciding to go back to work or stay home. Sometimes we'll have a guest speaker who will talk about subjects like infant massage, babies signs, etc. Each person hosts a different week at their own house, which is great to see where everyone lives and get to see different neighborhoods in the area. Most of the babies were born in November so they're all within 4 weeks of each other. It's just nice to hear stories of other babies the same age, get or give advice, see Ashley interact with the other kids, and have a scheduled thing each week that's good for both of us. I hear a lot of women say they still get together with their group on their own years after it started. You really get to know each other well after meeting every week for three months.
Here's the mamas and their babies
Here's the babies. Ashley is at the bottom left and to her right and around the circle is Ryder, Schuyler(pronounced Skyler), Tallyn, Jackson, Oliver, Collin, Jordan, and Elizabeth. Sophia is the only one missing from this picture.
